“When I brought my parents from OR to my home in MN because my mother’s health was failing, I wasn’t sure what the future had in store. My mom was suffering many years from dementia, and my dad was her sole caregiver. After almost three months, Mom had a terrible fall after which the doctors explained to use that she needed more care than what we could provide at home. We had no idea of where to try and take her and be assured that her care would be the best. As it happened, Amber and Jason Melby had a bed available at South View. I’ve known both of them for years and our children are the same ages as theirs. I talked with them both and visited South View and just knew it would be the perfect place. Such a tight knit, homey place that is its own family with only 12 residents. My mom lived there for four months before she passed away, and her care was phenomenal and so personal, even more so when it came time for hospice. I didn’t know the plan, but God provided in such an incredible way for my mom and my family. Many thanks to Amber, Jason, the South View staff and hospice for all that you do for so many.”
